 Pictures!

Unfortunately I was unable to get shots or videos of Toriyama-san drawing the Goku and the empire state building he did for the youth and schools of New York City (he requested that no one take pictures or video tape him doing the demonstration. You should see plenty images of this at shonenjump.com or dragonballz.com however; there were a couple of professional photographers there taking awesome shots of Toriyama-san drawing). But that does not mean I wasn't able to sneak in few pictures with my unrivaled spy cam!

Early fans arrive at the party waiting to get in. Damn it was cold in NY!

Fans enter the tent checking out the area. You can see Chris Sabat (US voice of Vegita and Piccolo) and Gen Fukunaga (president of Funimation) mingling around with some guests.

Near the entrance of the big tent you can check out the screening area showing Dragonball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho.

A few fans checking out the latest Dragonball Z on the PS2. Don't ask me what that is cause if you don't know I'm going to wop you!

These were the only things you could actually buy at the event: CCG game cards. YUCK! Although they did have a some contests where one lucky boy won the entire series of Dragonball on tape and a few fans won some DVDs.

Chris Sabat (voice of US Piccolo and Vegita) and Sean Shemmel (voice of US Goku) where on hand signing autographs for the fans.

A couple of large sized images of Sand Land (the one on the left; written by Toriyama-san) and Notaro, both mangas are featured in Shonen Jump USA. They were large HI RES displays. I would love to take one of those home!

The main man we've all been waiting to see. Toriyama-san was a good sport and smiled for me in this picture! Arigato Toriyama-san!

Chris Sabat (with hat) and Laura Bailey (in the red, voice of US Kid Trunks) hamming it up with Toriyama-san.

And FINALLY, Toriyama-san is warming up for his presentation to the fans. He actually looks like he is imagining what he really will draw. Sorry man, I couldn't get him actually drawing!

A couple of pictures of the party. It got kinda packed near the end, but it was never obnoxious.
